In our first web exercise of the year you are going to create your first web page, which will be a Bio of yourself.
Technical Requirements
- Use Photoshop to create a banner graphic.
- Create a new document 1024 pixels wide by 200 pixels tall that has your name and the word “Bio”. This is similar to the Ars image we used in this mornings lesson.
- Use of at least 5 headings and 5 paragraphs.
- Tell us who you are, what you like.
- The more headings and paragraphs you use (use correctly), the higher your grade.
- Use of 5 images for each section.
- Find 5 images which connect to your text.
- If one of your paragraphs is about your dog, you should get a picture of your type of dog. If Smuggs is your home mountain, get a trail map of smuggs.
Make sure to use the XHTML Strict DOCTYPE.
Call your xhtml file “bio.html”.
Ensure that images are placed in an “images” folder, and that images have correct “alt” tags.
Finally, check that you have a green check mark through the browser validator before uploading.
I am happy to take a look at your work before you upload it.
When complete create a folder called “bio” inside your Week 19 folder and upload all your files to this folder for grading (it should be 1 html document, an “images” folder, and minimum of 6 images).
