Mr. Cronin
Mr. Herr
Notes
- Welcome to Week 20!
- Doors locked immediately after school today due to Monday afternoon meetings.
- Quiz scores were very low last week (average of a D); many people’s overall averages dropped due to this. It is only one quiz and this can be easily rectified through higher scores but don’t start a routine of low quiz grades, it will kill your average.
- Creature digital painting.
- As a heads up, as it is every year, the number of students who are interested in CAWD2 is greater than the number of students to be allowed in. Mr. Herr and I are going to start ranking students this week on elements that he desires for CAWD2 including:
- engagement in coursework
- motivation
- worker traits
- grade
- and of course, skill
- If CAWD2 interests you, be aware of this, and know that you and you ALONE create your own future

12:50 Monday / Tuesday Afternoon Illustrator Exercise: Stewie
This afternoon you are going to work in Illustrator creating a vector based version of the famous evil mastermind Stewie from “Family Guy”. We are going to practice everything we learned on Friday, both through the lesson from Mr. Herr and the Vehicle design.
Start with a new file in illustrator in the “web” preset at a size of 800 x 600 pixels in size. Find an image on the internet that includes Stewie, or you can use on of the examples I provided above. We are going to focus on Stewie and Stewie alone, not worry about a scene or other characters.
Upload your file twice as “stewie.ai” and “stewie.jpg”. Save your file to create the .ai file, and “export” to create the .jpg.
Students here A and B day afternoons will be choosing a different character to create tomorrow afternoon -> it could be Brian from Family, Scooby, Bart, etc.
2:05 Dismissal
