9:40 Attendance

9:45 2D Animator Design Contest

Today you are going to work on a 2D Animation Contest based around the theme “High Striker“.  This is the classic fair / carnival game where a person hits a giant hammer on a platform and attempts to push the ball all the way up and hit the bell.  If you hit the top, you are “the strongest”.

The best animation (all animations viewed tomorrow in class) will get to choose their seat in the 4th quarter, so everyone today has something to work toward!

When you working please remember your 12 Principles of Animation:

  1. Squash and Stretch
  2. Anticipation
  3. Staging
  4. Straight Ahead Action and Pose to Pose
  5. Follow Through and Overlapping Action
  6. Slow In and Slow Out
  7. Arc
  8. Secondary Action
  9. Timing
  10. Exaggeration
  11. Solid drawing
  12. Appeal

You have until the end of the day (2:05) to create a 720p mp4 called “highStriker.mp4” that goes into your Google Drive folder for Week 29.

10:45 Break (15 Minutes)

11:00 English with Mr. Bisson
