Week 22 Technical Aspects Covered
- Taking Directed Content from Client and creating original design.
- We are going to build on last weeks corporate tutorial. You will be starting the process of moving away from someone telling you what to do, and you working as a true designer, where you are making the visual decisions.

- Original Corporate Style Layout
Project:
For this assignment you will be using the same content as last weeks tutorial. You will take this information and create a layout in Photoshop around it. This is closer to reality of industry: designers get general ideas in terms of content that need to show up in a design, and the designer takes it from there.
This will also be excellent for SkillsUSA Prep which is in 8 days…
Content that needs to show up in your layout:
- Main heading that says “Corporate Layout”
- The same image you used in last weeks assignment; it can be scaled.

- Search field and button
- Main Nav Links for: Home, About, Services, Products, Support, Faq’s, Contact
- Sponsors section and two placeholder squares
- Most popular section with 4 links
- Recent comments section with 4 comments
- Instead of 3 required blog entries (each with image, heading, copy and link), you can have 1-3 depending on your layout.
- Footer with links for (Home, Faq, Support, Contact)
If you decide to incorporate any additional images for this assignment, please pick large enough, high resolution images. If images are poor, this will be reflected in your grade. You are choosing the content.
Consider using a color palate suited for a corporate style layout.
It imperative this layout feels corporate, feels like it could be used for an account/lawyer/or other white collar professional job. No pink Japanese fighting robots.
Save and upload this assignment to your “WD” folder inside of Week 22 by Saturday March 13th at midnight. We want the files “originalCorp.psd” and “originalCorp.png”.
