9:45 Character Modeling AND Rigging
This morning and following into the afternoon, we are going to continue modeling our characters and get into rigging our characters.
Depending on how we modeled our characters, this could be super easy, or this can get rough. I am expecting things to break that is why we have the entire day to do this.
This video can help. It’s the one we are following.
In Maya 2017 there is an easy way and more manual way of rigging a model. I’ll show you how the easy way works on the example file, but wont work well with others.
The manual way lets us re-arrange our joints better. More ideal for game characters that we will be animating.
When complete, upload a screenshot showing your skeleton in your character. Upload as charRig.jpg to your week_9 folder.

12:45 Character Modeling AND Rigging AND Pose
For this super short period of time, I would like you to quickly pose your character doing some sort of action. ANYTHING. Wave, dance, kick, jump, anything.
Again, just quick screenshot shows your character in some movement. Upload as charPose.jpg to your week_9 folder.
