On Friday the CAWD2 students took a trip up to Lyndon State College to check out their programs in Animation & Illustration, Digital Media, and Graphic Design. We were able to meet with the faculty, see samples of student work, and talk to students in the program. It was a nice way to get to see what Lyndon is about, and the options they give our students for life after high school.
We found out that students can do a portfolio review once accepted where their CAWD work can potentially get them out of classes at Lyndon. You get the college credit, but you don’t need to pay, or take the classes if you can demonstrate you already have the knowledge. Seems good…

So Billings and Christian have been working on a graphic for the back of our CAWD hoodies. They took a photo and are now creating a 2D version in Photoshop. This is their progress so far.

The Chairs are finally dead…

The old CAWD chairs have moved to a farm, where they will have plenty of space to roll around and chair to their hearts content. They truly are in a better place, maybe they will see your first dog there; you know the one your parents sent to that farm to run around and chase cats and just enjoy life all around. I miss Snowball, I wonder how she’s doing at that farm.
So now we have some new chairs in class that aren’t falling apart and squeaky. They also have arms and seat backs that don’t randomly fall off. So just a heads up, you mess around with these chairs, and I may have to send you to live on this farm I was mentioning. Also, the new carpet is in and looks pretty good with the dim lights and the new chairs.
Sadly, for the third straight summer, the tables that are attached to the side wall were not raised up and are still pretty low. So, you might want to get to class early this year or get stuck at the preschool hieght desks, your call…
