Visit to Lyndon State College

On Friday the CAWD2 students took a trip up to Lyndon State College to check out their programs in Animation & Illustration, Digital Media, and Graphic Design. We were able to meet with the faculty, see samples of student work, and talk to students in the program. It was a nice way to get to see what Lyndon is about, and the options they give our students for life after high school.

We found out that students can do a portfolio review once accepted where their CAWD work can potentially get them out of classes at Lyndon. You get the college credit, but you don’t need to pay, or take the classes if you can demonstrate you already have the knowledge. Seems good...

CAWD Game Day!

On Wednesday afternoon Cawd had a game afternoon before the long weekend. During lunch a couple of second years took a trip to Little Caesar’s and picked up 18 Pizzas and a ‘liter of cola’ (points for knowing the movie) or two.

So from noon till about 5pm we played a little Halo 3, Smash Bro’s N64, Mario Cart Wii and Fable 2. I believe we had around 6 360’s, 2 64’s and a PSP or two running at once (I can only estimate because I was in video game mode / tunnel vision). All of the 360’s were networked together and in a single game of Halo 3, BTW I won all the games, even the games I wasn’t in...

Hey all, so Billings and Williams have completed the line art of the potential sweatshirt design. So, what do people think? Anyone have thoughts on Marshall and Knapp’s neck? It isn’t really defnied, but Billings tried to add in a line and he said it looked like a chin strap. Thoughts? ~ The Cronin
