As we finish the end of the year we wanted to just say thank you and good luck to everyone that helped make this year so successful.
We had some recent events to talk about to close out the year.
Thanks to everyone that came out and made it such a nice event! Be safe.
The after party…
I don’t feel I should be the photo journalist at your after Recognition Night celebrations, that is for you crazy kids to enjoy (and be safe at) so I will just plop Solomon here and say that Avery has more photos and crazy slow motions of fire pits, sparklers, etc. The slow motions are great, it sounds like you are partying with demons. (See below as well).
Garrett the State Champion
Garrett and BHS won the Lacrosse State Championship beating Stowe. Garrett is the starting goalies if you didn’t know.
You may ask yourself why are we handing him an umbrella, and why he looks like an English lord in this photo…this I don’t know.
Some footage from after they won. Good job kid.
Front of room Art Installation
One last look of Vlad’s design which so many liked for so long:
I think this is something I want to continue going forward, having students update our walls as an art installation project. Thoughts?
The Bulletin Board
Each year the front of the room is filled with student artwork as the year goes on, and then taken down at the end of the year. It is always nice to look at at the end, before it starts to be deconstructed. A good year indeed.
side panel 8-bit Art Installations before they come down…or not?
As many of you know we had 2 student designed / created art installations on our side panels. I wanted to share for eternal lore.
Can’t wait to see what comes next year…or should I not take them down….thoughts? Comment below.
Max’s skills before and after
Max is finishing up Cawd as a senior, and moving on to Champlain College‘s Game Art and Animation Program. While we all laughed (in a goodhearted way) at our “bad” early work, Max sent me a couple renders to illustrate his growth through Cawd.
Early Maya project from waaay back in September:
Where Max and his skills are now (Maya and Unreal):
I think….he improved. :-)
Final Cawd Game Day
Temple of the master of the Red Box
There was rapid ascension of the society that worshiped raisins. A high level of life was achieved for some time. At its high point the Temple of the Master of the Red Box ruled over all Cawd.
But then, as with all great empires…
What is next / Skills
Next up is going to the National SkillsUSA Championships, where our students will compete for national recognition in the fields of 3D Animation and Visualization, Interactive Application and Video Game Development, and Web Design.
In the above image we had Mike Rowe give the opening keynote a couple summers or two ago. Who will it be this year? You never know who may show up on stage.
Check back for updates during our trip which starts back June 19th!
Be good. Go outside. Watch a sunset.
