Step Up day just wrapped up and we’re just about finished cleaning up the classroom and getting ready for the SkillsUSA Vermont competitions tomorrow. Before we get into that, here are the results from this years egg drop done by prospective students looking to get into Cawd 1 next school year.
The goal of this project was to create a device that could be dropped from the ceiling and safely deliver and egg back to the ground.
The students in groups of three were given:
- 1 Egg
- 1 Paper Cup
- 4 Popsicle Sticks
- 4 Paper Clips
- 4 Rubber Bands
- 2 Straws
- 1 Gallon Sized
- 1 Piece of Paper
- 1 Ft of Masking Tape
Without further ado here are the photos of the devices after being opened…
Group A: Josh, Victoria, and Simon
Group B: Khira, Hunter, and Jordan
Group C: Beny, Tyler, and Schyler
Group E: James, Nathan, and Owen
Hard to see but it is leaking.
Group F – Saige, Lila, and Alexander
Group G: Brady, Avery, and Kyle
Group H – Solomon, Kyle, and Emma
Group I – Ben, James, and Max
Group J – Jonah, Svea, and Samantha
Group K- Elijah, Kai, and Giffen
And the only winners…
Group D – Kyle and Eric
The winners can collect their egg as a prize in August if they attend Cawd in the fall. It may smell a little off by then, but it will be here waiting for you.
