As we move to the web design semester….

I just thought I would share one of the reasons that web designers exist, if not to create the new website of Sony or Nintendo, but to help out the local folk, who simply, are really, really bad at making websites.

Make sure the speakers are cranked; check it:

Anyway, everyone have a good vacation and see you in 09.

Trip to Champlain College

Tour on CampusOur trip to Champlain college on Tuesday was such an eye-opener. For the past few months I have been struggling to decide what college I will be attending next year, this field trip has shown me that Champlain college is definitely an option. When we arrived at the school we were immediately greeted by faculty as well as current students. From here we were given a tour of the college by two students who are currently enrolled at Champlain. The tour went well, it was long enough to learn what was desired yet short enough that you didn’t become bored. However might I say…It was an impressively cold that day… :/

Once we had finished with the outside tour, we headed inside to see the classrooms, the dorms, the technology, the cafe’s,Presentation and even the lounge areas. The college overall is quite impressive, from the glassed in dome rooms, to the cafe’s for a midday coffee and sandwich, the college has a comfortable, laid back feel to it.

We ended our tour of Champlain College with a discussion about video games! We talked about the programmers, the designers, the artists, who makes what for money and where this industry is headed. The trip was very enjoyable, I learned a lot, and am a little bit closer to feeling confident about my future.
