CAWD In Frames

All of CAWD 2 got together to get their pictures taken for Nikki’s 20% final called ‘CAWD in frames’. The photo was inspired by a project called ‘Friends in Frames’ by a guy named Calle Hoglund. Check out the video HERE- http://www.petapixel.com/2011/01/17/behind-the-scenes-of-a-friends-in-frames-photo-shoot/ It took a few tries to get it right, but it was all worth it in the end.

Portfolio Reel

This is just a cool video showing off some one’s work that I found on the interwebs. All of the following scenes use 3ds Max, Photoshop and XSI. For those of you that are in or have attended CAWD, you are very fimiliar with both Max and Photoshop. XSI is just another 3d modeler like Max, but XSI allows you to have more advanced textures and use something called passes (you will see what passes are later in the movie, similar to layers).

Check back this week for a post showing off some off the current students’ really nice midterms. Peace.

Photoshop for free

Adobe opened up the Beta of Photoshop Express, today, its long-anticipated Web-based image editor aimed at the millions of consumers that want a simple way to touch up, share, and store photos. Use it to work on CAWD projects at home without having to download the trial of CS3 which takes up oodles of space and takes forever to dl (it also doesn’t require questionable morals).

You need adobe Flash Player 9 to run it, which is also free.
