Cawd2 has been working with our MakerBot to explore the potential of what we can do. In these first projects we used the Tinkerplay App to build some creations. These use .stl files which can be brought into Maya and customized as we go. The joints are the “pop-in” style so we can retain functionality of the character, but still customize to our own designs.
The prints come out like standard model kits from a bygone era.
When the pieces have been cut out you assemble them together as a model.
So this was just a proof of concept, Cawd2 is now going to create their own characters (while retaining the joint system for connectivity) off the .stl file base.
Any suggestions for characters?
